Crude Supply & Trading Intern (On-going)

The internship program has an opening for a Crude Supply & Trading Intern who is ready for new and exciting challenges in a fast-paced environment.
The Intern may assist with tracking movements in SAP along with all related costs across all delivery methods, maintain inventory positions in the system or by spreadsheet to assist with determining current refinery operations, and support supply and market condition analysis.
Major Accountabilities:
Assists Schedulers with creating and documenting product movements in SAP/TSW via barge, pipeline, truck, ship, or rail and ensure correct type, quantity, and timing of the load/unload activity.
Communicates clearly with traders, refinery personnel, wholesale, terminal operators, and logistics operators to develop a schedule.
Assists with inventory positions that balance the existing market conditions, wholesale forecasts, production schedules, and logistics constraints to keep terminals adequately supplied and refineries balanced.
Evaluates secondary costs to move product in the most cost efficient manner.
Accrues and tracks secondary costs accurately and in a timely manner in SAP.
Analyzes the impact scheduling has on an isolated part of operations and recommend improvements to scheduling processes within supply chain.
This position is hourly nonexempt status, which means you are eligible for overtime pay.
Qualifications:
Currently pursuing a bachelor's degree (or higher) in Accounting, Business, Finance or related field required.
Overall GPA of 3.0 (or higher) on a 4.0 scale preferred.
Obtained at least 60 credit hours by the start of internship required.
Graduation dates of December 2019 through May 2021 required.
Able to work 20-25 hours per week during the Fall/Spring semesters required.
Able to work 40 hours per week during the Summer required.
This is an on-going internship and will continue a minimum of one year.
Candidate required to live within commuting distance to San Antonio, TX.
Excellent oral and written communication skills preferred.
Knowledge and proficiency in MS Excel and SAP is preferred.
Initiative and well developed organizational skills preferred.
Ability to work effectively under stress of deadlines and volume of work which may change from day to day required.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
